Too bad the collab died out. I would like to have seen the rest of them together with this. Nice work though.

devilsgarage responds:

I agree, @digsBot 's animation still looked pretty sweet. I wonder if he got to complete his

Great Style!

I love the background and the sketchy style. The nursery-like music gave it a bit of a creepy feel... It's always great to see a NG preloader/logo/etc. reworked to fit with the theme of the rest of the movie. All in all, this short has a really clean, consistent and polished feel. Well done!

devilsgarage responds:

Thanks dude :D much appreciate your thoughts and comments. Always a pleasure

Lovely!

The art is great, but I get an even bigger kick out of the concept. I'd love to see you do it with other movies. Nicely done, sir!

devilsgarage responds:

Thanks Sean!

Nice work

I was going to write a review to tell you that your movie was extremely similar to Luis Castanon's work...but then I saw him in the credits. The world makes sense again. Great movie!

ConAir responds:

Well he did help me think up some ideas, but his only cameo was with the soap drawing so don't get too confused. Thanks for the review!

Very funny but....

The writing was excellent; very clever. My only comment would be to cut back with the Flash 8 blur effects. They're great when used in moderation. Using them too much makes them annoying. Nice work though.

AsthmaticHamster responds:

Yeah, I got a bit carried away, I'm sorry... :(

Nice work

Normally I'd be rough on an entry like this, but given that you guys are as young as you are I'm very impressed. Please don't take that as a bad thing. You guys have a lot of potential to be producing work like this at your age. Don't be discouraged if the people of Newgrounds are rough on this submission. Keep at it. You guys have a lot of great work ahaed of you.

slowz responds:

thanks man! Thats really inspirational.
I'll keep trying, getting a bit better. I still dont know much about AS, im just a good animator, so this was hard for me. Its really buggy for some reason. INtro movie doesnt wanna play. I dont get how to fix that. Thanks man! <33333333333333333333333333

Not too bad for a first pass

You've got a handle on animation. With some practice you will be making some pretty impressive stuff. The only comment I have for now is that you need to get a hold of your audio. You shouldn't be using stereo sound or full length songs. Stick to shorter loops and compress your audio (publish settings screen). Play around with different quality settings and watch what it does to the file size. You should be able to find a happy medium between quality of music and filesize.

Good luck in the future. You need to get your hands on a copy of Flash so that you can improve your skills and start chruning out some great stuff for Newgrounds.

kojitia responds:

im working on it right now i think i got the hang of it lol

Great idea....

But poorly executed. I think this could be really great, but you're going to have to put some effort into it. Smooth out the animation, storyboard your framing, etc.

LeoZ responds:

ok, cool. I'm not sure what you mean by 'storyboard your framing', but I'll look into it. thanks :)

Nice.

Good work on the Boondock Staints reference.

hexar responds:

Yea, that was a favorite of mine, too. that's why he got the 2nd place, it was longer than deej's, even though deej's animation was flawless

Not really a fan of sprite movies, but not too bad

If you're going to use George Winston's music, at least give him credit.

Kaosboy85 responds:

Oops, forgot to give credit to the audio guys:( Thanks for the review:)
