Tips for simplifying game programming challenges

Posted by seanjames - May 25th, 2010

I recently wrote an article about how to break programming challenges into smaller, more manageable parts. This article is aimed at young programmers learning how to approach challenges they might face when coding. It might also be helpful to seasoned programmers as well, who knows.

How to Simplify Programming Challenges

This particular article was based on a question a young game programmer asked me. I'd be more than happy to help others out with specific questions they might have. If you're interested in a tutorial or a push in the right direction, please message me (or email me: sean at baconandgames dot com) and I'll take your question and write an article around it like I did for Jack.

I hope you find this helpful. Thanks in advance for reading :)

Will bookmark this. It will more then likely come in handy later.

Thanks very much. Please keep me in mind if you have questions in the future. I love working with developers to help solve problems. If I can teach a few other people in the process, that's even better.

Brilliant, very helpful.

I'm glad it was helpful. I'd be happy to help you out in the future if you have any specific questions of your own. :) I love writing and it's great to know ahead of time that the content on my site is sure to help at least one person, hopefully more.

There's an article on that page? I can't see it.

>_>

It's there. If you're having trouble viewing it, PM me with the browser you're using and what not. It's just running Wordpress though, so I can't imagine it doesn't work in any of the modern or even out of date browsers.

Haha, I was hoping the ">_>" would maybe give away that it was a joke.

But yeah, I was referring to the picture you have there.

It has my attention.

Sorry, I was at work multi-tasking. haha. Duh, I get it now. Like the old "can you see the boat in this picture" behind the bikini model. I'm an idiot :D

umm hi

Like the first link. Very cool.
